I love cooking and eating out. I enjoy uploading photos of my own cooking or food that I see that I like on my facebook wall, which my friends finds it annoying saying " Bring some over!" "Where's my invite?" LOL. If you want any recipes of the food that I cook or some advice on how to cook a dish, feel free to ask me. Chinese New Year Cake
Ingredients
· 300g glutinous rice flour
· 49g rice flour
· 150 ml coconut milk
· 250 ml water
· 300g Chinese brown sugar
· Red dates for decoration
Recipe
· Heat water dissolve sugar
· Add coconut milk, cool down
· Stir into the flours, sift the mixture through a sieve a few times. (MUST)
· Add to a glass round container or plastic takeaway container and steam for 45 – 50 mins depending on size.
· Put the red date in 10 mins before finish to steam.
· Use a toothpick to check if its cooked or not, if it doesn’t stick it’s cooked
